The program includes a security risk analysis, policies and procedures, workforce training, Business Associate tracking, and an evidence book. ALCON designs, implements, and helps operate the controls and documentation with your team.

For a clinic, the practical conversation starts with three controls:
- Multi-factor authentication — require a second factor for access
- Encryption — protect information at rest and in transit
- Producible audit logs — retain and retrieve activity records when needed

Remote IT ($100–$150/user) can fit a location without regular on-site support. Complete and Secure IT add on-site support and broader controls. Existing IT teams can use co-managed IT.
Business Associates and shared responsibility
ALCON DTS signs a Business Associate Agreement for in-scope services. We document which systems are in scope and help you track the other vendors that touch ePHI.
HHS does not issue company-level HIPAA certification, and ALCON DTS does not claim one. The covered entity retains its legal obligation. ALCON designs, implements, and helps operate controls and documentation as an accountable Business Associate.

FAQ
Do you only do HIPAA consulting?
No. Consulting is the program. Healthcare IT is the day-to-day helpdesk, endpoints, backup, identity, email, and clinic network. Most clinics need both.
Do you replace our EHR vendor?
No. We do not take over the EHR. We support the identity, network, backup, and access around it.
Are you on-site in Austin?
Yes, Complete IT and Secure IT include on-site support. Remote IT is the remote-first package.
Can this be co-managed?
Yes. We can overlay monitoring, Microsoft 365, security, and the HIPAA program alongside your IT lead.
What does it cost?
Remote IT is $100–$150 per user per month, Complete IT is $150–$250, and Secure IT is $250–$400. HIPAA consulting is scoped after the review.
Does ALCON DTS have a HIPAA certification?
